Per-i-auger was a – work boat,

Per-i-auger was a –work boat,

Back in colonial times.

The boat has a bow and - stern, O

The hull and the sole hold the – cargo

The sweeps are long so we can – row fast

The halyard pulls the sail up the – tall mast

The wind in the sails makes the – sails pop.

There are no brakes to make the – boat stop

Now hear the words of the boat!

This boat, this boat’s gonna - float around,

This boat, this boat’s gonna – sail around,

Just like colonial times.

The tiller is connected to the - rudder

The rudder steers the boat through the – water.

The sails catch the wind and make the - boat go

The sheets pull the sails to catch the - wind ho!

So we can sail to town and with our – cargo
